Has worked in the areas of plastics manufacturing, research and product development, sales, service and installation. Developed thermoset cold sprue system which is currently being used by many manufacturers. Founded Cotto Inc. in 2009, a company dedicated to industrial engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance, as well as product development for the plastics industry.

Training and Certification: Scientific Cooling, Universal Molding™, Leak Testing, Ultrasonic Assembly Technologies, Plastic Joint Technologies.

Plastics consultant with over 27 years of experience in the plastics industry. Manufacturing Technology degree. (Associate’s) from the University of Puerto Rico, and Mechanical Engineering degree from Texas A&M University. Cofounder of HDI, Inc., a company dedicated to sales and plastic consulting services in the Caribbean. Has designed and help in the design of several plastics plants and installations in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica & Costa Rica.

Training & Certifications: Universal Molding™, Systematic Ultrasonic Assembly™ and Profile Extrusion by HDI Inc; Visual Basic (MS Access) by University of Puerto Rico.

Electrical Engineering degree (BSEE) from Instituto Tecnológico of Santo Domingo. 16 years of experience in plastics. Process and Validation Engineer in Flexible PVC and Elastomeric Extrusion Process. Three (3) years of experience in Rubber mixing process. Profile extrusion instructor.

Training & Certifications: Six Sigma Engineer from Baxter Quality Institute of Chicago; Extrusion of Plastic Tubing by SPE; Plastics Joining Technologies by Edison Welding Institute; Validation of Operating Parameter for Extrusion Process by Baxter Institute; Radio Frequency Sealing Technology by Kiefel Company; Universal Molding™ and Systematic Ultrasonic Assembly™ by HDI

Professional Industrial Engineering with 16 years of experience in multinationals companies of high technology as Intel. Broad experience in manufacturing, planning and engineering departments. Strong skills in problem solving applying lean manufacturing to implement systems, procedures and quality standards. Extensive knowledge in management and development people and strong experience in project management to achieve goals and continues improvements.

Civil Engineering degree (BSEE) from Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico. Four (4) years of experience in plastic process and as a sales engineer with HDI, Inc., a company dedicated to service the plastics industry in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and Costa Rica.

Manufacturing Technology degree (Associate’s) from the University of Puerto Rico, and Mechanical Engineering degrees (Bachelor’s and Master’s [master thesis with an emphasis in Numerical Analysis (FEA) of Glassy Polymers]) from Texas A&M University. Founder of HDI, Inc., a company dedicated to sales and plastics consulting services in the Caribbean. In collaboration with Dilán Interactive Learning (DIL), HDI’s sister company that develops computer-based training for the plastics industry, developed training programs for Universal Molding™ and Systematic Ultrasonic Assembly™ in both Spanish and English.
